Ramblings of an “underground musician” Part 2

Last time I was babbling at you about “the scene” I emphasized the camaraderie among metalheads as being one of the highlights of being a part of it and that belief was once again validated this past weekend at the Las Vegas Deathfest 10. It’s hard not to have fun at a metalfest and it’s almost impossible not to make memories at one in Las Vegas, America’s playground. Most fests suffer from having to shut down early, nothing to do in town, and almost all give you the boot right away with nothing else open near the club. Not in Vegas. Ramblings of an “underground musician” Part 1

Of course I’ll be referring to the underground death metal scene as that’s the dysfunctional family of mutants I’ve been a part of most my life. I can’t comment on what it’s like being an underground blues artist or what one of those “subway” bands goes through but hey those guys are either in genres that are much more popular or have passers by at least throwing them some dollars or at least some appreciation. The underground metal scene will probably stay that way…

The metal scene will always remain underground because of the large amount of people in the scene that act like trying to lay new music on them is some fucking shitty thing to do. Fucking weird to me to see post after post on social media hating the idea of someone trying to share their tunes.
