I’m a big fan of the Ventrian modules for DNN especially the Property Agent module. I’m playing with the newest version to see if it would be a viable option to get TheMetalScene.com’s “The Scene” section up faster than reinventing the wheel and doing it all from scratch.
Here’s some video from a vacation we took to Turning Stone Casino & Resort upstate in Verona, NY. I was just fucking around, no tripod, no real agenda except relaxing that day, the video is a side effect. Continue reading Turning Stone Casino & Resort
Well I started writing some riffs for some of those beats finally. I’m using the Spinal Puppet Line 6 Setting and just running a dirty scratch sound to Adobe Audition CS6 to just get a quick decent sound to work with. Continue reading Guitars are happening!
I’ve been using DotNetNuke since right around the birth of version 4 and end of 3. We are now on version 6.2.2 as of writing this post. I have been developing TheMetalScene.com on this version with .NET 4.0 and am excited to dig into building modules with Razor. Continue reading Cutting code with a Razor
I’ve had a vimeo account for a while and have been posting some private videos so I can watch them on the LED big screen in the house and I’ve been posting a few public vids as well. Here’s a link to my vimeo account. Friend me or whatever the fuck you do there. Continue reading I’m on Vimeo
Well I went on a quest a few months back to replace a bunch of software I was using with open source versions that would accomplish what I needed without having to sacrifice too much in the way of features, ease of use, etc. Mainly I wanted to do this to see what kind of results could be accomplished with little to no money invested for software/hardware. Full disclosure: I am starting with a Line6 TonePort KB37 Guitar/Bass/Vocals/Keyboard hardware interface. This is a great piece of hardware that I’ve had for a long time that is a great all in one box. You can find this on eBay I’m sure or buy the new version for between $150-300. I also will be using my black 80’s BC Rich Mockingbird guitar and Peavy 5 String Grind Bass. So the title said “beats are waiting” what the fuck am I talking about you ask? Well… Continue reading Drum beats are waiting
For quite a while I’ve owned “TheMetalScene.com”. I haven’t had the time to develop this site until recently and hope to finally turn this into something cool. My goal is to make a community that could provide a place for metalheads to find bands, clubs, fans, etc. and buy music and merch direct from the bands in a centralized marketplace. This along with a hefty magazine section I think could provide a cool service for the scene. Continue reading TheMetalScene.com
