“Lucky” is a killer (pun intended) little black comedy that I enjoyed quite a bit. I knew nothing about this movie going into it, which I like. Too many trailers ruin the movie, often giving away too much and sometimes even the end! Continue reading Lucky
Well, what can I say. I saw Star Wars when it first came out in the theaters in 1977. I actually was one of the few people who was aware of this film coming out. I used to read Starlog and magazines like that as all good little nerds do. I also used to go down to NYC with my mom every once in a while and we found several B&W promo photos for sale on the street, no doubt bootleg. Continue reading Star Wars Episode IV “A New Hope”
Here’s some video from a vacation we took to Turning Stone Casino & Resort upstate in Verona, NY. I was just fucking around, no tripod, no real agenda except relaxing that day, the video is a side effect. Continue reading Turning Stone Casino & Resort
Well I started writing some riffs for some of those beats finally. I’m using the Spinal Puppet Line 6 Setting and just running a dirty scratch sound to Adobe Audition CS6 to just get a quick decent sound to work with. Continue reading Guitars are happening!
I’ve been using DotNetNuke since right around the birth of version 4 and end of 3. We are now on version 6.2.2 as of writing this post. I have been developing TheMetalScene.com on this version with .NET 4.0 and am excited to dig into building modules with Razor. Continue reading Cutting code with a Razor
Well I went on a quest a few months back to replace a bunch of software I was using with open source versions that would accomplish what I needed without having to sacrifice too much in the way of features, ease of use, etc. Mainly I wanted to do this to see what kind of results could be accomplished with little to no money invested for software/hardware. Full disclosure: I am starting with a Line6 TonePort KB37 Guitar/Bass/Vocals/Keyboard hardware interface. This is a great piece of hardware that I’ve had for a long time that is a great all in one box. You can find this on eBay I’m sure or buy the new version for between $150-300. I also will be using my black 80’s BC Rich Mockingbird guitar and Peavy 5 String Grind Bass. So the title said “beats are waiting” what the fuck am I talking about you ask? Well… Continue reading Drum beats are waiting
